Experimental Study on the Flexural Performance of Timber–Steel Composite (TSC) I-Beams

چکیده
To promote the development of timber–steel composite (TSC) structures, this paper proposes a TSC I-beam with an as webs, covered timber board on its upper and lower surfaces bolted together; effect varying ratio thickness to bending performance was investigated. Considering same total height beam cross-section variation height, three groups six specimens were designed fabricated carry out load failure tests, effects respect mode, flexural capacity, ductility, degree beams analyzed. In addition, model for predicting elastic ultimate capacity mid-span deflection I-beams proposed basis coefficient method, which avoids need test joints, theoretical calculation results in good agreement results, can provide reference design I-beams.
